A trip to South Africa in 2019 launched what became a multi-year partnership between Head Guide Janco Scott and travel entrepreneur Dan Pierson. Almost a decade later, the two continue to offer groundbreaking experiences across Southern Africa.

Head GuideJanco Scott is the consummate African Safari Guide. Born in South Africa, a veteran of the Camel Trophy Land Rover Safari Race, and a co-founder of several orphanages across South Africa and Zimbabwe, Janco (pronounced YANco) brings to your safari a deep love of the environment and the knowledge to back it up.
By day, Janco will share intimate details of the flora, fauna, culture, and ecosystem as you make your way through Botswana and Zimbabwe. By night, Janco will prepare delicious, hearty meals and regale you with tales around the campfire.

Adventurer. Dan splits his time between running Pierson Expeditions, a boutique adventure travel company, and developing real estate on the coast of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Dan’s last company, Bolt Travel, sold to Unsettled, where he became Chief Marketing Officer. Before that, he launched multiple startups in the travel and hospitality space, led travel partnerships for Lyft in 2013 and 2014 (first 150 employees), consulted for Airbnb, and created live experiences for organizations like the Rockefeller Foundation.A bit more:
Bill Gates once told me that the only thing you can't buy more of is time, so I've been trying to make the most of it ever since. My adventures in the last decade have taken me to 50+ countries, including long bicycle rides across the United States and New Zealand and a 300 mile walk from Havana to Trinidad, Cuba. I speak fluent English and Spanish, and have lived in Mexico the last 7 years.
